Clif Bar CrossVegas Announces Webcast Plans
August 27, 2014 (LONGMONT, COLORADO) – Can’t make it to CrossVegas this year? Not to worry. A live webcast of the biggest cross race outside of Europe is just a few mouse clicks away. CrossVegas organizers Watts Marketing announced the race would be aired simultaneously on two websites: Bicycling.com powered by SRAM and BehindtheBarriers.TV presented by Stages Cycling. Behind the Barriers TV (BTB TV) will also produce the webcast this year.
The combination of BTB TV, with its season long cyclocross coverage and Bicycling.com, with its expansive reach of all things cycling ensures a broad audience for the nighttime race that has become a favorite with ‘cross fans and competitors globally.
“Cyclocross is our bread and butter, it’s where we continue to prove our products, including the newly introduced and world’s only cross specific groupset, SRAM Force CX1. Partnering with Bicycling.com at CrossVegas gives us a chance to reach a vast audience of fans who share our passion,” said SRAM’s Road Brand Director Chris Zigmont.

The live webcast on Wednesday, September 10 will feature a pre-race show beginning at 7:45 (all times PT). Interviews and course previews will precede the Women’s Elite race at 8:20 followed by the Men’s Elite race at 9:30. The webcast concludes with the award ceremony for both categories. In addition, BehindTheBarriers.TV will offer pre-season features leading up to race day.
The webcast team will be led by BTB TV favorite Colt McElwaine who will be roaming the CrossVegas course features offering his unique insight. The commentary booth will be anchored by Dave Towle who will be joined by special guest Nicole Duke. Duke is sitting out the race this year exchanging her normal racer duties for expert insight.
